BIO
Mixed media artist, lives and works in New York.
Yuliya was born in the heart of the Altai Mountains and grew up in a small industrial city in Kazakhstan from the age of 5. At the same time, she constantly felt that she was cramped within the confines of a small city. This inner call for freedom, for large spaces and deep self-expression became the driving force of her creative path.
Since 2021, Yuliya began to engage in art photography, and later went beyond it, creating works at the intersection of photography, collage and abstraction.
Her visual language is based on a combination of textures, found objects, torn paper, urban traces and emotional brushstrokes. The artist strives to express inner freedom, self-discovery and a deep connection with the space she lives in.
Today, Yuliya lives and works in New York, a city that has become her main source of inspiration. Street noise, traces of time on the walls, fragments of faces, random artifacts found on the road become part of her visual archive.
Yuliya develops her artistic language, combining spontaneity and awareness, personal history and urban space. She strives to participate in exhibitions, work with galleries and create projects in which visual art becomes a form of emotional expression.
It is important for her not just to reflect the surrounding world, but to convey internal states, collect fragments of reality and transform them into living, tactile art.
